Age. All players must be 18 years of age or older.
Etiquette. We are all adults here (see age requirements), so we simply ask that you act like one. Avoid OOC drama and communicate any issues to the mods (email thehollowmods@gmail.com) before things get out of hand. OOC drama includes but is not limited to: OOC/IC line-crossage, god-modding, wanking, whining, tattle-tailing, mud-slinging, metagaming, complaining, harassing, stalking, cliques, and any other generally annoying behavior. If you have any questions as to what counts as drama (or if you don't understand any of the above terms) feel free to contact a mod (email thehollowmods@gmail.com).
Rating. Please make note of any thread or journal with a high rating both with a visible NSFW or R rating and hiding it behind a cut tag. High ratings are anything with excessive swearing, sexual situations, or violence.
Communication. All players must provide a reliable form of communication, either AIM or e-mail.
Activity. All characters are expected to provide a minimum of one thread AND either six social posts OR two journal entries every month and actively participate on the posts of other characters. If you post but do not comment, you will not be considered active.
Characters who do not meet this requirement will be given a warning on the 30/31st of each month and will be booted on the 3rd of the following month. If your character is absent for an entire month, they will be removed. Activity requirements for months when a hiatus is taken can be discussed with the mods.
Journals. All journals should remain open, unless a circumstance requires a locked entry. Journals work in a similar manner to a blog or journal and are written in first person. You may make a portion of a personal journal entry private by stating so (example: Private to Ginny).
Strikethroughs are readable with some effort. Bolded strikethroughs are completely illegible.
Social Media. As this is a contemporary, technology-based game, we strongly encourage all characters to participate in at least one social media channel. This includes Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Skype, iChat, etc. All posts using these channels should be made in the social media community - thehollowsocial. You can find resources for coding these appropriately on the social community profile page here.
Threads. Threads should be in third person and be more than one line of narrative. Please use the RPG community - thehollowrpg - to post your threads. Threads should be behind a cut tag and introduced as so:

Tags. Please use tags where appropriate. In the threading community, tag with the following: Character: Harry Potter, Character: Ginny Weasley though use your character's name. Once the thread is complete, please add the Complete tag. In the social community, in addition to your character's name, please also tag the means of social media used (example: twitter, facebook, tumblr, etc.)
Journal Set-Up All entries, including your character's bio (your application) should be public. In addition to the biography, please also include a mobile phone post and, if applicable, a Facebook profile.
Characters & Limits. Limited to 3 characters per player at this time. There are no gender restrictions. Also, we will not allow any player to play their own sibling, parent, significant other, or roommate.
Though this is an AU, we will require all characters to remain true to their canon counterpart's personality and history, as applicable.
